As the Occupy movement gains even more momentum from the backlash of Police being heavy handed and the mainstream media finally starting to report on the occurrences that cannot be ignored, the movement is starting to make some inroads.
This is in part because of the huge numbers of people now participating with an absolutely enormous crowd in Oakland of around 100,000 protestors on Thursday bringing traffic to a standstill.
Today the Occupy movement has reminded us that it's Move Your Money day, which targets banks where it hurts. Aaron Selverston reports:
Move Your Money is an idea that has regularly been used against the poor, progress and those who promote change. It is therefore highly appropriate for it to be employed as a tool in the ever growing arsenal of the Occupy movement.

This is a fantastic way to pressure the authorities to change the corrupt system being that the only thing they really care about is money.The Peninsula Peace and Justice Center, which organized an Occupy solidarity protest in October, is promoting its ‘Big Bad Bank Tour of Shame,’ a protest march and walking tour in support of Occupy Wall Street and Move Your Money Day.‘Move Your Money Day’ is part of a campaign aiming to “empower individuals and institutions to divest from the nation's largest Wall Street banks and move to local financial institutions,” according to the Move Your Money website.
