Today, Stuff reported:
It's very unbecoming of a duly elected official, Peter Dunne, to call the people protesting against his support for the GCSB amendment bill "irresponsible scum". That's a response more befitting idiots like Cameron Slater and David Farrar.
If Dunne is displaying such hatred towards Kiwis who are simply exercising their democratic right to protest, while he supports a government that has broken the law on numerous occasions by spying on at least 88 New Zealand citizens, journalists as well as Peter Dunne himself, he is a total hypocrite!
Clearly the protesters didn't break the law though. Dunne would have ensured they were arrested and prosecuted if that were the case.
So, a group of people who haven't broken the law are viewed by the United Future leader as "the lowest form of life imaginable" while the numerous cases of a rogue government illegally spying on New Zealand citizens is somehow acceptable?
I'm glad this is Dunnes' last term in parliament. The sooner this jumped up little asshole gets kicked out the door the better. In the mean time the bouffant wins this Week's asshole award...let's hope it doesn't go to his head.
A group protesting at the Government Communications Security Bureau bill have taken their fight to the Wellington home of United Future MP Peter Dunne, prompting him to call them "irresponsible scum".
Eight protesters were outside his home in Khandallah yesterday afternoon, calling on him to cross the floor and vote against the bill.

Mr Dunne, who was not home at the time of the protest, said the "hardcore group" were at his house with a loudhailer on Sunday, past 11pm on Monday night, and also yesterday morning at 7am.
He was concerned his wife and neighbours were being intimidated by the group, whom he said were "irresponsible scum".
"They are the lowest form of life imaginable. If they think they are going to persuade anyone to their point of view with these tactics, they're frankly deluded."

Protester Ariana Paretutanganui-Tamati said they were at Mr Dunne's home "to give him a taste of what it feels like to have your privacy intruded on".
