Today, the Dominion Post reported:
Mr Key this morning said he would contact their families.
"They don't have a lot of family. Neither of them are married. One has a partner, but the partner's also part of the New Zealand Defence Force and actually is overseas.
"The other guy doesn't have a lot of family at all in New Zealand,’’ he told Radio Live.
What a condescending prick! So what if the soldier's who died serving their country don't have many family members, they obviously have parents... I wonder how they feel about the prime minister trying to diminish their loss?
National also announced today that they wouldn't be changing the date to withdraw our troops from Afghanistan, despite overwhelming public opposition to New Zealand being involved. Here was I thinking the government was meant to represent the people.
